Hi there, We are back! The last weeks have been up and down, literally and figuratively. After being back in Belgium for a week doing bureaucratic administration, we left once again to look for the sun in Spain. After visiting our friends in Brussels (thanks Yannis and Vanessa for taking care of us!), we went to Bordeaux for a full day and the next day an overnight bus straight to Madrid. Las Fallas

After cycling through half of Spain, we reached Valencia in victory. Known for its sunshine, delicious “Paella Valenciana” (with rabbit and snails) and a fiery festival called “Las Fallas”. The name comes from Latin, “falla” means torch and is used for both the festival and the statue itself. It is originated from the middle ages, where the carpenters celebrated the coming of spring by burning their wooden planks that hoist the candles that lit their workshops during the winter months….
