It’s been a while since our last post. We’ve been traveling for 3 weeks with my cousin in October. We explored a big part of Java and the island of Flores together. Wonderful Indonesia!
Now that we are back home it’s time for “kerja, kerja, kerja” like the Indonesian president “Djokowi” would say. That means “work, work, work”. We have started to inventorize the store bit by bit. It’s still going to take a very long time but every bit counts. At the same time, we’re trying to implement an ERP system to manage all that data. We already have our eyes on a specific software packet but suggestions are always welcome!
Otherwise, there are also some days spent on arranging papers for my stay here, extending visas, learning Indonesian and working in the garden. I have found a teacher that speaks Indonesian and English in the city nearby. Soon I will be taking lessons with her twice a week. In the meantime, I will try to teach English to a 14-year old Indonesian girl who lives next door. She learns English from me, I learn Indonesian from her, win-win!
Our vegetable/flower garden has improved greatly and many different things have been planted successfully. We’ll see which ones survive the tropical climate and I will walk you through the garden once everything has properly grown. Only then you will see the real beauty of it!
For people who follow us on Instagram, I’ve been posting more actively on my @jcphotography1987 account than on the @generationwhy account. For those who want can follow the most active one or both, up to you. They both feature pictures of our travels only one being more active and recent. A good way to keep up with what we’re doing…
And this time for real, in the next post I will walk you through the store, our everyday office!
